Take Flight

Originating from a lino block print, this digital version gives a crisp view to the brown pelican in flight. One of my favorite birds, this pre-historic looking creature has a majestic character and has been recorded to live as long as 43 years while averaging 15-25 years. Their wings can span to an average of 7' and can hold up to 3 gallons of water in their mouths, three times the amount their stomachs can hold.
